How to Seduce a Girl
June 20, 2009During the course of my teen years, I have often pondered on how to effectively charm and woo a woman.(Not that I’m in search of a woman, in fact I am in a happy 2 year relationship with my girlfriend) While browsing on YouTube I stumbled upon a certain video that caught my eye. Being the curious case that I am I instantly clicked on the link and voila, like an answered prayer, all unfolded before me.
Don’t you guys agree?
Nina Sky on the wheels of steel
June 17, 2009According to Wikipedia:
Nicole and Natalie Albino are identical twin sisters under the name “NIna Sky”.Albinos’ parents moved to New York from Puerto Rico and were divorced when the girls were younger. Because their stepfather worked as a DJ, the twins were influenced by different types of music. When the sisters were only 7 years old, they wrote their first song, “Sisters”, and by the time they were 10, they already knew that they wanted to become singers.
When they first broke out onto the music scene with their hit singles “Move Ya Body” and “Oye Mi Canto” I thought Nina Sky was just one person. I never really knew they were two in a group. Twin sisters to be exact. That was until last night when I saw this video.
Nicole has skills! In this video we see her teaching her sister how to DJ.
Natalie was hilarious. She kept dancing whenever she heard a great beat and mixed two songs incessantly. Makes me want to become a DJ too. Man i have too many things I want to do in life. One step at a time Noogs!
I have yet to see a great female DJ here in the Philippines. Nicole, If ever you see this blog (which is absolutely next to impossible) please come down here and perform for your filipino fans.
Hoping and praying,
Noogs.
Starting anew
June 13, 2009It’s back to school once again. A time for new friends, new professors, new beginnings. Everytime school starts I make promises that just break like shattered glass. I seriously need to stick to my priorities and focus on what’s ahead. No more cutting classes, no more excuses, no more drinking out with buddies the day before a 7:30am class, no more lying in bed being a lazy-ass. (4th year ka na Noogs, tamad ka pa rin!)
I remember last semester telling myself that I would attend my 7:30am class no matter how drunk I was. Instead, I attended my 7:30am “lying in bed drunk” class everytime.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
BARACK OBAMA, speech, Feb. 5, 2008
And so shall it be.
Goals
June 11, 2009I remember the days when i wanted to be so many things when i grow up. I was ambitious. A dreamer. Couldn’t wait to be an adult and pursue my dreams.
I think i was around 5 years old when I told my parents that I wanted to be a priest. My family and friends now laugh at the fact that i seriously wanted to be a faithful servant to the Lord, spreading the good news. Not that being a priest is bad or anything, but the things I’ve done? You would laugh too.
After 2 years my sister got a toy scientific microscope kit and it immediately caught my attention. Ooohs and aaahs came out of my mouth while she played with the set. Right then and there, I forgot all about my holy duties and instantly wanted to become a scientist. I always waited for her to get bored in order for me to have a go at it. Eventually, she did. Oh sweet joy! I finally laid hands on the kit. It was heaven. I looked for every looking creepy crawlie i could find to examine under the scope. I got menacing looks and ghoulish screams from my sister. It grossed her out. I didn’t care. I was happy.
That was until i reached grade 4. I began to notice i was exceptionally ahead of my classmates whenever it came to creative writing and spelling bee’s. I had a wild imagination. I wrote whatever i had in mind and the teacher loved it. To hell with being a scientist. I was going to be a Journalist.
Then came the adolescent stage. I was burst into the musical genre of Rock and Roll. I loved it. I became passionate about my music. Deftones, Cannibal Corpse, System Of A Down, Mudvayne and other bands became my world. I forgot all about my passion for writing and wanted to become a rockstar. It even got to the point that I began to hate mainstream music. “Westlife? Pffft.” I was in the underground scene.
When I reached my senior year of high school I was suddenly pressured into choosing a course to pursue in college. This was it. Was I to take up Ecclesiastical Studies? Mass Communications? Enter the Conservatory of Music? No, no and ultimately, no.Surprisingly, I pursued Engineering.
Even I myself was surprised. My parents advised me to take it up and I did. Not even in the far reaches of my brain had it ever come to me that Noogs was going to be an engineer. But hey, I’m already here, In my fourth year of college nearing graduation. It may not be my dream job in the future, my raison d’etre nor am I 100% happy with this course, but I started it. I will see to it that I will graduate and finish what I started. I realize my parents just want the best for me and I understand them. My education is the best present my parents could ever give me. Nobody can ever take it away. This is mine and mine alone. This is my goal, this is my destiny.
Here I am, a young man, still ambitious, still a dreamer. Photography has taken my interest as well as being a lawyer, but those can wait. I just have to take it one step at a time.
Noogs?
June 9, 2009Relax, you need not search for the word “noogs” in the dictionary. It’s what the major population in college call me.
Taken from my surname and shortened for the people lazy enough to say my whole name out loud (that’s you, Renz). I thank you for giving me a light bulb above my head for my blog’s name. Close friends, classmates and eventually even my professors joined in the bandwagon, without even knowing my real name.
So if you ever walk around your campus hallway and hear someone scream “Noogs!”, baliw yun. Umiwas ka na lang.
The End. Bow.
