Starting anew
June 13, 2009It’s back to school once again. A time for new friends, new professors, new beginnings. Everytime school starts I make promises that just break like shattered glass. I seriously need to stick to my priorities and focus on what’s ahead. No more cutting classes, no more excuses, no more drinking out with buddies the day before a 7:30am class, no more lying in bed being a lazy-ass. (4th year ka na Noogs, tamad ka pa rin!)
I remember last semester telling myself that I would attend my 7:30am class no matter how drunk I was. Instead, I attended my 7:30am “lying in bed drunk” class everytime.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
BARACK OBAMA, speech, Feb. 5, 2008
And so shall it be.
